ABC I Like Me!, by Nancy Carlson, is a great book to use
with young children. Each letter
of the alphabet is used to describe the main character, a pig, by telling
something the pig is or has. The
descriptions can be good conversation starters between children and
parents. It could also be used as
a mentor text to write a book about things that describe oneself. It’s a fun read with some good
applications for life.
